Kraz, the Guardian Demon of Qliphoth

Kraz is the second guardian demon, a 5,500 HP lizard fought from chapter 4 on, and the tankiest thing in the game before Qliphoth itself. Where Kovess owns the air, Kraz owns the ground, and regularly leaves it: much of the fight happens with Kraz submerged and striking up from underneath you.
Like Lerid, Kraz does not die the first time it goes down. The fight has a scripted false death, so hold your victory lap until the arena actually releases you.
Spinning blade orbs launched in twisting arcs around it, saturating mid-range while it repositions.
It sinks into the ground and strikes up beneath you, with a wide variant that covers a whole section of the arena.
Chained dashes, each carrying its own slash area, cutting lanes across the arena in quick succession.
A repeated in-and-out cycle: it erupts, attacks, and dives again, with warnings marking the second strike of each rep. The screen distorts while the cycle runs.
The first collapse is theater. Stay out of range until the real death resolves.
In hard mode every boss also draws from the pool of 10 modifiers listed on the bosses page, from flat HP and defense gains to elemental resists and ignoring your defense or evasion.
